Description
The Cover-joints Sandwich Panel, conssits outline of two steel sheets, pre-lacquered on galvanized steel, with a middle foam made of polyurethane material, injected in a 40 kg / m3 peremeter. In addition, this type of panel main characteristic is it´s steel cap (the coverstrip) that is placed over the joint between two panels, once they are screwed to the structure the joints are airtight and serves as barrier against external debris, guaranteeing a máximum durability for decades.
Like the rest of the roofing panels the coverstrips panel allows a very simple but strong and durable assembly. The sheets are fastened to the structure with self-drilling screws and cappellotti: a washer with neoprene gasket to prevent the filtration of dampness. The thermal insulation of this roofing sheet is extraordinary: in 30 mm it offers a level simimilar to 60 centimeters of crecrete. Thanks to this, our customers reduce labor and machinery retal cost, resulting in am uch lower budget.
The Coverstrips Sandwich Panel, is the most demanded option in United States for all types of roofs, from industrial buildings to residential roofs. Thsi success is due to the fact that it proved added protection compared to the 3, and 5 fret panels: the coverstrips has an enclosure system that protects the joints and it´s outline ridge surface, which allows to withstand hevavy loads. In addition to complete the assembly process at Panel Sandwich Group, we develop all kinds of custom-made trims and finishes to protect the most vulnerable áreas where the foam is exposed.
Our Cover-joints Sandwich Panel has a fire performance certification C S3 D0 / B S2 D0, thus complying with current Spanish regulations and European requirements, offering better results than those stipulated by the European Union. Is one of the highest performance for a converstrips panel, is compare to a high value panel such as the Rock Wool Panel. This is due to it´s máximum insulation foam, made of polyurethane material, 30% higher than the rock wool or fiberglass panels.

The technical data of the panel are average values obtained in different test son the Cover-joints Sandwich Panel. Depending on the type of panel thickness and steel, there may be some changes. In any case they have been verified and exceed the usual quality standards in the U.S. market.
Thermal Inasulation and Weight
Panel Thickness (mm) | Thermal Transmission (coeficient on K over W/m2k) | Weight (Kg/m2) |
---|---|---|
30 | 0.68 | 10.60 |
40 | 0.53 | 11.00 |
50 | 0.43 | 11.40 |

The specified weight corresponds to a steel sheet thickness of 0.5/0.5 mm. The insulation of the Cover-joints Sandwich Panel is of variable thickness, manufacturing different thicknesses based on polyurethane due to its great thermal insulation capacity. The insulation or insulation coefficients are equal or superior to those shown in the table. Under request and conditions we can manufacture Coverstirps Sandwich Panel, with higher thicknesses up to 120 mm.

Example of specific case of load or resistance table for Cover-joints Sandwich Panel in 50 mm thickness with 2 or more support points. The values of the table dependo n the thickness of the polyurethane and the thickness of the sheets used. The values are those that comply as a mínimum, having point loads that support more than shown. These point loads are common in the installation of the sandwich panel on a roof, when they are moving through it when assembling it. For more information or generic resistance table according to the configuration of the panel, please ask your sales representative.
