Description

The Sandwich Rockwool Fireproof Sandwich Panel of Panel Sandwich Group is the only one in the U.S. market that can resist a possible fire against flames. In this way, a very useful reaction time and capacity is achieved. Manufactured under all the necessary safety measures and with the best quality materials.

This fire resistant Rockwool Panel is formed, as the rest of sandwich panels, by a double metallic coating of galvanized and pre-lacquered steel that encloses and protects an insulating core of Rock Wool fibers.  Thanks to its multi-fiber structure, it offers excellent fire resistance. This added value that we add to our roofing panels has allowed us to work with professionals and individuals who needed to protect their works from the fear of possible fires. It is usually installed in commercial environments, bakeries, wood ovens, schools, chemical industries, hospitals where safety is a priority above all.

Our Fireproof Rockwool Sandwich Panel for roofing is composed of 5 Frets on the outer face in such a way that it provides even greater resistance with less amount of supports. On request, we can also manufacture roofs with two corrugations, always with exceptional resistance, protection and thermal insulation wherever it is installed.

  • One of its main qualities is its installation, they take advantage of the waves overlap each other and are screwed directly to the existing structure.
  • We manufacture made-to-measure rematerial to protect the areas where the rock wool is exposed, thus increasing even more the useful life of the fireproof panels.
  • Possibility to choose from a wide variety of colors: Pyrenean White RAL 1006, Navarra Green RAL 3000, Silver Metallic RAL 9006 and many more.
  • All quality and fire resistance certificates are available to customers.

The specific example case on the Fireproof Rockwool Sandwich Panel´s table of loads or resistance, of its high density, is based on 80 mm thickness with two or more support points. The values in the table depend on the core thickness and thickness of the sheets used. The values are those that meet at least, having point loads that support more than shown. For more information or specific resistance tables according to the panel configuration, you can request it from the commercial.

Characteristics

The Rockwool Panel for roofing with fire resistance is formed by two steel sheets, with a soft inside profile and an outside strong corrugated 5-fret profile to offer even resistance. These two galvanized and pre-lacquered steel plates protect the inner rock wool fibers layer. Its manufacturing process for the Rockwool Sandwich Panel for roofing is optimized to increase protection against fire: the rock wool fibers are arranged orthogonally to the steel sheets, alternating the joints and then compacting them and obtaining the ideal core to resist fire.

The main advantage of Rockwool over other traditional panels is its fire protection. Nowadays, we not only opt for the price of the products, but we also have to look at those that offer us added value. That is the case in Panel Sandwich Group; for your roofing, we offer an insulating rock wool core panel, the only one on the United States that does not ignite and in case of a possible fire, allows great time reaction.

Being manufacturers, we can adapt the production schedule of the Fireproof Rockwool Sandwich Panels to your needs and preferences. For this, we provide Fire-resistant Roofing Rockwool Panels in thicknesses of 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, and 100 mm, that offer fire resistances of 30, 60, and 120 minutes. However, by request and under conditions, we also offer the possibility to increase the thickness to 200 mm.

The Fireproof Rock Wool Sandwich Panel has gained popularity, in recent years, due to its quick and easy assembly process. The fixation between one rockwool plate and the other is done by overlapping and screwing directly to the structure at the meeting between the two. In addition, we will provide the specific screws for all types of surfaces together with the special washer (cappelletti) with a neoprene gasket to prevent leaks.

The Fire-resistant Rockwool Sandwich Panel has a fire behavior cataloged as REI 30, 60, and 120 for the panels of 50, 80, and 100 mm, respectively: this means that its mechanical strength, R; its impermeability to gases, E; its thermal insulation, I, are guaranteed during those periods. In addition, it also has a fire resistance certificate A S2 B0, the previous M0, not polluting when burned. These values have been obtained through official tests per current Spanish regulations, meeting or exceeding the parameters established in the European framework.
